Prof. Dr. Dr. Stefan Grundmann, LL.M. (Berkeley), Professor of Private and Business Law and Legal Theory at Humboldt University (Berlin). His major publications in several languages include overall treatises on European Company Law, European Contract Law, Banking and Capital Market Law, New Private Law Theory. He is editor-in-chief of the European Review of Contract Law, the Ius Communitatis series of textbooks and founding president of the Society of European Contract Law (Secola) and of the European Law School (Berlin/London/Paris/Rome/Amsterdam/Athens/Lisbon/Madrid). Since 2012, he has been chairman of the "Foundations of Law" specialist group within the German Society of Comparative Law, and as of 2022 is vice-president of the Society.
