Iris Haenen received an LLM and an MPhil degree from Tilburg University in 2009 and 2010 respectively. From November 2010 to March 2014, she conducted PhD research at the Department of Criminal Law at Tilburg University, including a stay at King’s College London to conduct comparative legal research. In June 2014 she obtained her PhD degree with a study titled “Force & Marriage. The criminalisation of forced marriage in Dutch, English and international criminal law”. Currently she is assistant professor at Tilburg Law School at the Department of Criminal Law.
