Maya Sigron holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Zurich and received her Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Lucerne as well as a Certificate in Transnational Law from the University of Geneva. She worked as a research assistant at the law faculty of the University of Zurich and completed a two-month study visit at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. She worked as a trainee for the Cantonal Supreme Court of Grisons, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Grisons and a private law firm. She is admitted to the bar in Switzerland and worked as an independent partner in a private law firm in the canton of Grisons. Currently Maya Sigron is working for the Swiss Federal Office of Justice in Bern. Her research interests concentrate broadly on public law as well as public international law. She is particularly interested in human rights law as well as constitutional and administrative law.
