Ingrid Lund-Andersen obtained a master in Law at the University of Copenhagen in 1976 and became doctor in law at the same University (2011)
Since 1976 she was Assistant police prosecutor (the chief constable of Horsens), Assistant (deputy) professor at the Institute of Procedure- and Criminal Science at the University of Aarhus (1978-1979), Assistant (deputy) professor and assistant professor in family and succession law at the Institute of Private Law, the University of Aarhus (1979-1984), Associate professor in family and succession law at the Institute of Private Law, the University of Aarhus (1984-2010) and Associate professor in family law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen.

Since 2011 she is Professor in family and succession law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen.
